Serving His Kingdom, One Connection at a Time
Condrad Pableo
I spent the entire month of September in Europe, where I reunited with family, friends and formed new connections and friendships. I never imagined I would be able to visit such beautiful countries—places I had only seen on social media and YouTube. But God made a way for all of this to happen, and I met and reconnected with wonderful people who inspire me in the career path I’ve chosen: serving God and the community, especially the urban and rural poor. The trip was such a blessing. Aside from seeing beautiful places, eating healthy food, and of course, enjoying the cheese, the best part of it all was the people!
The hospitality they showed us throughout our stay, the time spent together, and the stories we shared truly made this an experience of a lifetime. I want to thank everyone who made our trip possible, fun, full of inspiration and learning, and most of all, blessed!
Here’s to more years of togetherness, friendship, connection, and a community of people serving others—for His Kingdom and glory.

Sakahang Lilok Stories
Community Story
This story features two long-time paid volunteer workers of Sakahang Lilok who live in the communities close to the farm: Mariano, who works in the maintenance of facilities and farm grounds, and Meann, one of the cooks on rotation at the farm’s kitchen. In this video they share why they continue to work at Sakahang Lilok, and what changes they have seen in their lives.
From Charcoal to Care: Imak’s Story
Kim Marfie Arenas, also known as Imak, is one of Lilok’s newest staff members. As a teen, he would help provide for his family through charcoal-making and swidden farming, which are a common source of livelihood for indigenous persons living in the mountains of Tanay, Rizal. After participating in educational outreach projects at Sakahang Lilok, he wanted to be more involved, and became a paid volunteer in 2018. He used his compensation to get through college. Lilok saw his developing passion for creation care and abilities as a facilitator, and in 2026 he joined the team. Now he uses his botany knowledge to teach other youth how to care for the environment. This video showcases his story.
