Rooted in Hope. Growing Through Community.
At Lilok Foundation, we believe transformation begins where people are seen, heard, and empowered.
What started in 1993 as a response to the struggles of urban poor communities in Manila has grown into a movement for holistic learning and social change. From creative youth work and leadership training to hands-on farm retreats, we equip individuals and communities to live with dignity, act with courage, and dream beyond poverty. Our journey is shaped by people — their resilience, their stories, and their shared commitment to building a more just world.

Mission
Lilok Foundation is a faith based, non-profit and non-government organization that seeks to serve urban poor leaders, to facilitate their learning, and to empower them toward servant leadership by means of modeling, transformative education and mentoring programs.

Organizational Vision

Societal Vision
A society where economic activity and the use of power benefit all persons equally, regardless of race, identity, sexuality or any other distinction; where there is concern for the ‘other’; where the fruits of development are for everyone, including future generations; where the dignity of life is appreciated and respected; and where creation is sensitively preserved as a perpetual source of life and livelihood for all.

Our Objectives
To train leaders of urban poor communities who are acting and living holistically, growing in Christian maturity and wisdom and becoming effective agents of transformation in the communities they serve.

History
Lilok Foundation was founded in collaboration with Servants to Asia’s Urban Poor in the year 1993 out of a grassroots movement of urban poor Christian leaders seeking training for justice-oriented community action. Over the decades, Lilok Foundation has grown to offer courses, camps, and retreats that continue to empower individuals and communities for wholistic transformation.
